Women's Information Service

Can't find the information you are looking for? Not sure where to start? Need a hand?
The Haven at Mount Barker Community Centre provides information to women, by email, over the phone and in person. We aim to increase access to information that gives choice and empowerment.
Trained volunteers can give you a hand with your information needs and provide details about services, which may assist you. You can reach out to talk to us about:
Family life & relationships  I  ​Domestic/ Family Violence
Education & training  I  Health & wellbeing
Housing & accommodation options  I  Financial matters
Women's groups and events  I  Anything at all

Community Support

Mount Barker Community Centre offers support to community members in need of assistance.
We offer:
I ​Emergency food relief  
I ​Free frozen meals to be heated up at home
​or at the Community Centre 
I ​Information and referrals to a wide range to services 
 I ​Emergency access to toiletries and personal items  
I ​Support a community pantry, located in the Macclesfield Institute every Monday morning 
I ​Access to a Financial Counsellor at Mount Barker Community Centre, through Lutheran Care Financial Services

Justice of the Peace Service

A JP service is available each Tuesday and Friday between 10am - 12.00 noon.
