Mount Barker Community Centre is looking for people to join our team of Reception Volunteers to provide excellent customer service and assist in the smooth running of this busy community centre.
Applicants need to:
be confident in assisting clients over the counter and over the phone
assist with cash handling and eftpos payments
manage diverse enquiries
communicate effectively with community centre staff and volunteers
enjoy working as part of a team of people, including those from diverse backgrounds

Duck Flat Community Garden

Learn about gardening, get involved in a fun and supportive local group of people, spend time in beautiful local garden.
Duck Flat Community Garden is a beautiful space providing a venue for teaching, demonstrating and growing produce utilising cooperative and healthy organic principles.
It boasts abundant garden beds, a hot-shade house, a pizza oven and meeting place, abundant artwork, a native shelterbelt, fruit trees, a comprehensive composting system, activity shed with modern updated kitchen, various artworks, a “playboat” and a children’s garden. It offers a space for the community to tend a garden, contemplate or dream in the shade.
Volunteer gardeners are involved in all aspects of maintaining the garden and new volunteers are always welcome
Gardening hours: Mondays and Wednesdays 9.00am – 1.00pm

Womens Walking Group Volunteers
As a Women's Walking Group Leader at Mount Barker Community Centre, you will be responsible for leading and facilitating group walks for women in our community. You will play a pivotal role in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment where participants can enjoy the benefits of physical activity while forming meaningful connections with fellow walkers.
